EuropaBio, the voice of Europe’s dynamic biotech industry, is currently seeking a motivated Administrative & Project management Intern to join its Brussels-based team for a period of 6 months. The organisation helps to lead the voice for biotechnology across sectors and the role includes supporting the administrative delivery of the association, plus our dynamic National Associations Council and leading biotech legislation in Europe.
The successful applicant will work from our offices on Avenue des Arts, in the heart of the EU district and will be working closely with industry experts within a small and dynamic multinational team under the supervision of the other team members.
This internship will give the successful applicant insight into the world of trade associations in Brussels.
They will work across teams with the People, Culture & Finance Director, the NAC & SME Senior Coordinator and across the sectors at EuropaBio, lending support on the EU Biotech Act.
The role includes:
Finance & HR
• Update and maintain data in the invoicing platform
• Helping ensure compliance with Beppol invoicing standards and protocols
• Helping ensure compliance on the EU Pay Transparency Directive
• Assist with updates of internal documentation (i.e. work regulations)
• Assist with updates related to prevention counselling
National Associations (NAC) & SME
• Attend internal & external meetings as required
• Taking meeting minutes
• Monitor relevant EU and industry developments
• Assist in preparing briefing materials and presentations
• Maintain documentation and stakeholder lists
• Assist in planning, coordinating and tracking progress on ongoing projects.
Biotech Act
• Support coordination of internal scheduling and meeting logistics across teams
• Support the preparation of policy related documents and communications
• Track progress and updates related to the Biotech Act
• Assist in compiling stakeholder feedback and contributions
Job requirements
Profile:
• Must have full permission to work in Belgium;
• Must NOT have already completed an “Immersion professionnelle” or have already undertaken full time professional employment;
• Graduated in Business, Finance or other area relevant to an administrative role;
• Must have a high level of both written and spoken English (office language); French or Dutch is an advantage.
• Must have strong attention to detail;
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel
• Should be capable of working independently.
• Must be able to present work in a clear and concise manner.
• Should be capable to produce work of a high standard, to use initiative and to regularly report on progress
• Ability to begin internship in October 2025

You will be offered a paid professional integration agreement (immersion professionelle).
Working hours are from 09:00 until 18:00 Monday – Friday with a one-hour break for lunch.
The intern will be entitled to 6 days holiday (RTT), national bank holidays, as well as days off for the year-end holidays.
Salary is 1100€ gross/month.
Meal vouchers of 8€/day worked;
